- Grand tour Paris:
At the end of the XVI century, there were a lot of new inventions and education was accessible for more people. Because of this, young people started to travel to resorts for students. This type of travelling was called Grand Tour.
It started in England where the young British students travelled to other countries to finish their studies. These tours were approximately between 3 and 5 years long. The concept of tourist was created from the French word 'tour'. The main destinations for these tours were European capitals such as Paris, Rome and Venice.
